Punarnava: A Canvas of Nature’s Rebirth
🌸 The Inspiration: Woven from the Earth
Close your eyes and imagine the soft, blush-pink glow of the morning sky just as the sun touches the earth. This is Punarnava—a Sanskrit word meaning "to renew" or "rebirth." The delicate pink of this drape isn't born in a factory; it is coaxed directly from nature. We have captured the poetry of the earth by extracting rich, living colors from wild Madder root, healing Manjistha, the deep heartwood of Sappanwood, and fallen seasonal blooms. Every intricate geometric pattern rests on a canvas that feels as pure as it looks—a visual masterpiece painted by nature itself.
🌿 A Harmony of Body, Mind, Soul, and Earth Wearing Punarnava is not just about making a fashion statement; it is a holistic experience.
-
For the Body: Woven from a premium blend of Handblocked Chanderi Cotton, it marries a luxurious, natural golden sheen with the cloud-like, breathable comfort of cotton. Completely free of toxic synthetic chemicals, the plant-drenched fabric feels incredibly soothing and gentle against your skin.
-
For the Mind & Soul: Imbued with Ayurvedic marvels like Manjistha—an ancient herb celebrated for its detoxifying, blood-purifying, and calming properties—this saree is wearable wellness. Wrapping yourself in these natural fibers grounds your energy and brings a sense of mindful tranquility to your day.
-
For the Environment: True elegance shouldn't cost the earth. By championing 100% biodegradable plant-based dyes and slow-made textiles, Punarnava ensures that our rivers remain unpolluted and our soils remain rich.
👐 Empowering the Hands of India This saree is a love letter to India’s rich artisanal heritage. The mesmerizing geometric motifs are not stamped by soulless machines, but rhythmically handblocked by master artisans whose families have preserved this sacred craft for generations. When you drape Punarnava, you become a patron of Indian art. You are helping to sustain rural livelihoods, keep the rhythmic thump of the handblock alive, and uplift the incredible artisans who weave the cultural fabric of our country.

उत्पाद देखभाल
Every House of Jugnu piece is handcrafted with
love and care. To ensure your product stays beautiful for years, please follow
these simple care guidelines:
🌿 General Care
● Handle your handcrafted item gently —each piece is unique and made with delicate artisanal processes.
● Avoid contact with liquids, perfumes, or deodorants that may cause stains or discoloration.
● Do not wring, rub, or scrub the fabric. Always handle it softly.
● Store in a cool, dry place,
away from direct sunlight to preserve its natural color and texture.
● Air your garment occasionally to keep it fresh and prevent mildew.
🧵 Washing & Cleaning
● Prefer dry cleaning, especially for handwoven, hand-dyed, or block-printed fabrics.
● If washing at home, use mild
detergent and cold water, and wash separately by hand.
● Avoid machine wash and harsh
chemicals — they may damage natural fibers and colors.
● Do not bleach.
🎨 Color Notes & Behavior
● Moderate bleeding: Darker shades
(Indigo, Madder) may bleed during the first 2–3 washes.
● Low to moderate fading: Colors
like Turmeric yellows and Indigo blues fade faster in direct sunlight.
● Low surface dye transfer
(Dry/Wet): Excess surface dye (especially Indigo) may rub off on skin or
lighter clothes initially.
☀️ Ironing & Storage
● Use medium heat ironing on
the reverse side of the fabric.
● For delicate embroidery or block
prints, place a thin cotton cloth over the item before ironing.
● Store sarees and dupattas folded
neatly with muslin cloth between layers to allow the fabric to breathe.
💛 A Little Note
Slight color or texture variations are a part
of the charm of handcrafted textiles. With proper care, your House of Jugnu
creation will continue to age gracefully — just like true craftsmanship should.
